Description

We present to you the armchair-berzera FB98918.01, in neutral GRAY color with black metal legs. The upholstery of the high back has been made with a quilting technique that gives a special beauty to the armchair in combination, of course, with the high-quality velvet fabric. The seat is comfortable responding to the character of the armchair, while the characteristic of this armchair is that it is accompanied by a footstool of the same aesthetic. It is modern combining style and comfort and you can place it next to the fireplace, in a window or even in your bedroom, and let yourself be embraced by it, spreading your legs on the excellent footstool.

Mini Story: The story of Bergère (see bergère) begins sometime in 1720, in the salons of the Palace of Versailles during the time of Louis XV, where it was considered the seat of the nobles and the upper class. Its construction from special wood, combined with the luxurious fabrics of the time, gave it the feeling of a throne. From its early years it was considered the queen of seating, both for the privacy it offered with its open arms, high back and turned sides, and for its dominance of the space as a decorative element. The Berzera armchair changed its appearance over the years (depending on the season and fashion). Dressed in floral fabrics, leather, many different patterns with particular textures, even Chesterfield. Over the years we may have seen variations of the bergere design, the arms were dressed, the back went up, the dimension of the cushion changed, but the basic idea of the large, comfortable armchair has never changed. A big comfortable armchair, many times, is better than a whole sofa.

In a nutshell…: Quilting is a type of fabric or a sewing technique where the seams and gussets form various patterns and folds or bumps. In quilting, the fabric is like an “inflatable” that is held by the seams which in the places where they are “sink” the fabric. That is, many small puffy bumps are created in the quilting that stand out from each other by the seams. These bumps can be diamonds, squares, stripes, as well as many other designs. The purpose of this style is to break the monotony by creating different patterns on the fabric. This improves the overall image of the object. It gives a sense of luxury as well as detail in the design.

DIMENSIONS:
70x57x103 cm.
Seat dimensions: 40×53 cm.
Back dimension: 72×67 cm.
Seat height: 42 cm.
Arm height: 57 cm.
Footrest dimensions: 51.5×37.5×42 cm.

The legs are metal, which also gives resistance to weight and time.

The “fillings” of the bergere, both on the back and on the seat, are of medium hardness foam materials that offer great comfort and better body support.

The entire lining of the bergere is made with excellent quality velvet fabric, giving an attractive look and a sophisticated charm to your living room decoration. Velvet is the fabric that cannot leave anyone unmoved! Whether it covers small or large surfaces, it cannot help but make its presence felt in the space and attract attention. Velvet is a fabric that was particularly loved by kings and emperors of past centuries, as a result of which it became synonymous with luxury and glamour. It has flooded the windows of the biggest stores and is one of the most favorite choices of the most famous decorators worldwide. It is a soft, relaxed, delightful and elegant fabric that is impossible to resist. The positive thing is that it can be easily harmonized with any kind of decoration, giving the room refinement and elegance.

Mini Story: The reason that velvet used to be an object only for the eyes of kings and emperors, was the fact that it was mainly made from silk fibers and in fact with a very special treatment, which required a lot of time and a special loom. Fortunately, today things have changed and this wonderful fabric is affordable for everyone.

MAINTENANCE:
Thanks to the durable construction materials, the armchair is user-friendly. In particular, to keep the velvet clean and fluffy, it is advisable to vacuum it once a week. Attach a soft brush, set the mild program on your vacuum and sweep the entire surface in the direction of the grain. You will see that immediately the dust will be removed and the pile of the fabric will be like new.
Under no circumstances should you rub a plush fabric. Even if you have to remove a stain, don’t scrub it. Moisten a soft cloth with water and dab locally on the stain.
Leather is also an ideal choice for cleaning velvets (i.e. the cloths with which we dry the car).
